Quick answers to the most common questions about Snagr.
What is Snagr?
Snagr monitors hard-to-find products on Amazon, eBay, and Best Buy and sends you a push notification the moment they come back in stock — or when the price drops below a threshold you set. No inbox required.
Is Snagr free?
Yes, Snagr is completely free to use. We earn a small affiliate commission when you click through to buy a product, which keeps the lights on.
Which stores does Snagr support?
Amazon, eBay, and Best Buy. More stores are coming — we're actively working on expanding. If there's a store you'd like to see, email us at support@snagr.tech.
How many products can I track?
Up to 20 products at a time during Alpha.
How do I enable notifications?
After signing in, click "Enable Notifications" and allow the browser permission prompt. On iPhone or iPad, you must first add Snagr to your Home Screen: tap Share → Add to Home Screen, then open the app from there before enabling notifications.
How fast will I be notified?
eBay and Best Buy products are checked every 10 seconds. Amazon products are checked every 2 minutes. Once a restock is detected, your notification is sent within seconds.
I'm not receiving notifications. What's wrong?
A few things to check: (1) Make sure you clicked "Enable Notifications" inside Snagr. (2) Check that your browser or device hasn't blocked notifications for snagr.tech — look in your browser settings under Site Permissions. (3) On iPhone, notifications only work from the Home Screen app, not Safari. Use the Send Test Notification button to confirm everything is working.
Will I get spammed with notifications?
No. You only receive one notification per restock event. For price alerts, you'll only be notified once until the price rises back up significantly, then drops again.
What does "Checking..." mean?
The product was just added and we haven't completed the first stock check yet. It usually resolves within 10–30 seconds. If it stays on "Checking..." for more than a few minutes, the retailer may have temporarily blocked our request — try removing and re-adding the product.
How does a price drop alert work?
When you add a product, you can set a price drop threshold (e.g. 20%). Snagr tracks the highest price it has ever seen for that product. If the current price drops by your threshold or more compared to that peak, you'll get a notification.
The stock status seems wrong. Why?
Stock data comes directly from retailer APIs and is generally accurate. For Amazon specifically, availability can change within seconds of a restock, and our check interval is 2 minutes — so by the time you're notified, an item may already be gone. eBay and Best Buy checks are near real-time (every 10 seconds).
